Winchester Toastmasters meets on the first and third Wednesday of every month. We meet in The Timbrook Public Safety Building Community Room 231 East Piccadilly Street Winchester. The meetings start at 7:00 PM and run for about an hour. The meetings are open to the public. |
Winchester Toastmasters was started asTadmasters Toastmasters Club at the Transatlantic Division office of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Corps offices have three letter designations Hence the acronym TAD.and the name of the club. The club was started in September 1993 and chartered by Toastmasters International in February 1994. After the attacks of September 11th, 2001, security at the Corps office became too strict for members who were not employed by the Corps.so we started looking for a new place to meet. The club moved from place to place for a few years and finally settled into our meeting place at Perkin's in December 2005.. We are a dynamic club full of friendly people who want to help one another to suceed. We do this in an atmosphere of mutual support and friendly advice. We recently changed the name, meeting place and starting time of the meetings. We are now Winchester Toastmasters. We meet in the third floor conference room of the Timbrook Public Safety Building, 231 East Piccadilly Street, Winchester. The meetings start at 7:00PM. |
